70 Days & 70 Nights

This will be Ella's 70th - and final - night at the hospital.  Our exhaustion is outweighed by the joy & anticipation of her first night at home, where she will complete our family.  By tomorrow, Chapter 1 of the life of Ella will be complete.  An amazing beginning to a book that appeared as if it might never be written.  We don't know what future chapters will look like or how it will end, but we believe that God's grace has already made it more beautiful than we could've imagined.  Thank you for being a part of it with us.

I am at a loss for words. The evidence of God's grace and love as demonstrated by His healing power upon "Ella Belle" and your family has strengthened me and brought tears of joy and thanksgiving to my eyes at each miraculous step. I want to thank you for sharing your live's with us and allowing us to join you in prayer, faith and thanksgiving to our heavenly father. I will continue to pray for Ella's healing and look forward to your future posting as you begin the next chapter in the life of Ella.

Praise God! What a miracle!
Among you praying for this miracle Emma -- would you please add a prayer for another Ema (spelled different) who keeps having spells where she stops breathing. Our God can work miracles. We've seen it here!

Words cannot express my excitement and anticipation for you and your family. You have been an amazing example of unwavering trust in a God who has continued to hold Ella in the palm of His mighty hand. We will be praying for you in the days ahead.
When we took our little guy home from PICU at Sacred Heart after open heart surgery/2month stay, it was such a victory! Yet there was this fear and trepidation as we took full responsibility for all of his meds and well being. There was definitely a nervous adjustment time, but once we got in a "groove", it was much easier. You will go home and find a new "normal" for your family and it will be good.
Blessing to you!
Enjoy your beautiful baby girl.

Truly, what a miracle! I am beyond thrilled for you, and so thankful for your example of trust and rest in the Lord, of holding your daughter with an open hand, and waiting on the Lord to move on her behalf.

What a beautiful little girl with an amazing testimony. Enjoy your first night home with her.

Sweet dreams, sweet Ella.

Back in November, soon after Ella was born, my friend sent me a link to your blog so that I could join others in praying for a miracle. Since then, I have been following your blog and Ella's amazing progress and have been deeply moved. I began reading of Ella's miraculous journey with tears and joys and often have wanted to post my prayers but have refrained. Today, as you mention, Ella's first chapter in her life is ending and I find this time most appropriate to share my gratitude.

Reading of Ella and your family's journey has brought me to my knees more than once. I myself have a young baby and am always moved at what miracles they are. You have reminded me that they are more than JUST miracles but are God's blessings upon us. I cannot imagine the tolls in which this journey had brought but am amazed by the faithfulness and grace in which you have continued to express. Reading Ella's story I have often wondered, if given the same circumstances would I have been as faithful as you all? Would I have been as prayerful, hopeful, and have put ALL my trust in the Lord as you have?

I praise God for working such a miracle in Ella. At the same time, I am grateful for your willingness to share your journey of faith through this trying time. Thank you. Through your journey, I have been reminded of the power of the Lord, of the power of prayer, and of the importance of giving everything up (even our children) into the hands of our Lord and Savior. Thank you for this reminder.

May God continue to bless you and your family as you enter this next "chapter" in your lives. My prayers will continue.
