Yet I am poor and needy;

may the Lord think of me.

You are my help and my deliverer;

O my God, do not delay.

Great is thy faithfulness...

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth. Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide. Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow. Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside.

Great is thy faithfulness...

Love love love you, beautiful friend. So much. Please know that even when you are weak and struggling to trust, so many of us are believing for you. Praying that Jesus covers you with His peace + comfort in a new way tonight. And that He continues to do a mighty work in Ella's body. I love you.

You have an amazing family...all 5 of you. We love you and are praying for all of you. Ella continues to amaze me and touch my heart daily. And everytime you write a post I am encouraged, challenged, and most often brought to tears by the way you love, by the way you trust the Lord, and by the way you fight for your daughter. It is obvious that she gets her strength not only from the Lord but from you both as well. Your post was beautiful. Thank you for continuing share your heart with us.

Christa, God knows your heart, and He's holding you and Ella and Erik and the boys, and He'll never let go. We practiced a song at choir tonight that felt like a prayer for you all: "Bow the knee; trust the heart of your Father when the answer goes beyond what you can see. Bow the knee; lift your eyes toward heaven and believe the One who holds eternity. And when you don't understand the purpose of His plan, in the presence of the King, bow the knee." I love little Ella, and I love all of you. I am praying hard for you tonight.

"A page is turned in this world to reveal a little girl
With a heart that's bigger, as it is unfurled
By the language in her soul, that's teaching her to grow
With a careful cover of love that will not fail..."

We're praying, too! It's getting harder and harder to be away. Just today I was thinking how nice it would be to have your boys over for Christmas craft time with Miss Jenny. :) We'll have to plan something when I get home.

Love you

Dear Christa, rest assured: God knows that soul-struggles come with the territory, in crisis like this.

There is no thought you can think, or worry you can feel, that can prevent God from holding Ella, and you, and your whole family, in the center of God's tender, total love.

Oh, beloved, you are not the first parent. Mark 9:24 "Immediately the father of the child cried outd and said, 'I believe; help my unbelief!'” Praying God will continue to fill you with the peace that surpasses all understanding and you will be able to look back on this time and, as J.I. Packer wrote, be able to say, "I have known God."
